THAILAND - Ko Phi Phi

From Ko Lanta we got a boat to Ko Phi Phi and headed to another beach called... wow... get this... "Long Beach" (that's what us whities called it anyway) which was full of horrible speedos and titties floppin' around everywhere.

Yukky yukky people.

Paid for a night in one of their "bungalows" (650 baht) which smelt like a toilet... ended up going for a walk over the hill to Viking resort, ditching the 'orrible Long Beach place, and staying there for 4 nights. It was a bit more expensive (okay, it was still only 1500 baht or $60 a night), but it was really nice - we had our own private little beach away from all the munters... bit more expensive that the usual backpacker fare, but this was our splash out, so all good!

A 180 degree (slightly haphazard) view from our cabin on the top of the hill - the beach is just through the trees in the middle (down a hill), and the sea is about 15m down a cliff to the left:

A 180 degree view of the private beach that we were sharing with about 4 other people at sunset:

A 360 degree view of the Viking Lodge beach, taken from out on the rocks... check out how clear that water is:
